Grace is the story of a young runaway girl and the boy who hides her from a frightening world too large and unfathomable for him to comprehend. It is also about two brothers and the love that binds them together through difficult times. In some ways this is the most autobiographical of all my novels. When I was eight-years-old my father lost his job and we moved from our beautiful home in California to a rundown, rat-infested home in a poor neighborhood, like the one I describe in the story. Most of all, Grace is a story of a young couple learning to love.

Tiffany and I heard Richard Paul Evans inspirational speech at the Author's Luncheon in October. When we picked Grace I knew it was a quick read so I purposely held out to read it so it would be fresh in my mind. With that said I decided to read The Gift first. The Gift is a wonderful book, and a typical Evans read, a tearjerker, richly detailed and touching. It is about a man who witnesses a boy perform miracles with his touch only to have that touch drain his life. I totally needed tissues and then dug into Grace. I loved the innocents of Eric with Grace and his relationship with his brother was so believable. Evans dropped subtle hints throughout the story which didn't disappoint me. I have to say that The Gift stayed in my mind more than Grace. I'm hooked on this author so much that I'm now listening to Finding Noel read by Evans. Another excellent read/listen so far!
Dear Ariane, thank you for your letter and your kind words. I very much enjoyed the AZ event and meeting the other authors. Such tremendous talent. I tried to get on your blog without success, so please forward my message. I'm at work on my next book and to the gals who nixed me the first time, I hope I won you over. Best to you all in this New Year, Sincerely, Richard
